The Shawnee, being migrators, didn't have a land to call their own. As a result they found themselves invading other tribe's land. Most tribes welcomed them because the Shawnee had a well known reputation as fierce fighters and they would provide mutual defense.
The main allies of the Shawnee were the Creek, Delaware, Miami and Wyandot tribes.
