Tenskautawa
Tenskautawa, also known as the prophet, was a peace time chief. Much of what is known of the Shawnee tribes before the whites arrived to start recording was learned from him.
He led his brother's army to defeat when Tecumseh was away gathering more indians for an all out war with the whites. Due to his impatience the indians lost any chance of reclaiming their land from the whites.
