Tecumseh
Tecumseh is by and far the most famous of the Shawnee tribe. He was a war chief, and he served as a speaker in councils with the whites. He continued to resist the whites after the Treaty of Greenville in 1795, and led raids on the whites in Kentucky.
In the War of 1812 he allied himself with the British and was name a general in their army. He fell on Oct 5, 1813
